I design digital experiences that empower communities around media.

Let’s work together

Experience

Amplify Learning

I manage Agile development projects, working with UX/Design, content development, marketing, and engineering to launch digital products for the K-12 market.

As Product Owner of Project Ed, a video contest platform, I help establish product strategy based on market needs, user feedback, and custom metrics, and work with a development team to define and prioritize features for each release. I oversaw the RFP for the original build of Project Ed, defined high-level functional and technical requirements, wrote user stories, developed wireframes and designs, and also worked with content partners to program a compelling mix of contests for the teenage market.

I also run several Agile ceremonies including sprintly demos, retrospectives, and scrums of scrums for a 100+ member team focused on the development of Amplify Learning's flagship product, a tablet-based curriculum application.

The World Bank

For the Microfinance Gateway—an online professional development resource for Microfinance practitioners—I led an overhaul of the web metrics used to direct the team’s product strategy. I created wireframes to refine the UI interaction and optimize user experience for the flagship website and affiliate sites based in Cairo, Costa Rica, and Paris.

Georgetown University

At Georgetown University’s Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship, I provided technical and project support for the Georgetown Commons—an online innovation lab and community for teaching and learning. I collected and reviewed requirements to develop online communities of practice, developed storyboards, user profiles, and workflows for the Georgetown Commons website redesign, and interfaced with developers and designers to implement changes to the existing site.
